Finca Majorcado

Finca Majorcado is a climate and wild bee conservation project in Mallorca that we founded because we care about wild bees, healthy food and saving CO2. The finca is located on a large plot in the rural area of Llubi (Mallorca) and is surrounded by avocado trees and a large field of lavender.

Avocados - Bees - Lavender

With Finca Majorcado, we have given new life to a fallow farmland and allowed a sustainable, ecological cycle to blossom on it.
Our lavender field is laid out in lanes with seating areas, at the end of which is a stage. In this way, events, weddings and small concerts can be realized in the middle of the lavender field, while at the same time visiting our path through the avocado forest.

Optimal Synergy

We decided to cultivate avocados because they are extremely healthy and are therefore not considered a superfood for nothing. Their valuable ingredients, such as unsaturated fatty acids, minerals and vitamins, have a satiating effect and thus reduce blood sugar levels, for example in diabetes.
Avocado trees are also rich in nectar and thus offer our wild bees an optimal habitat.

Natural Fertilization

Sheep and horses provide natural fertilization for our trees, because sheep and horse manure contains everything the soil needs for healthy plant growth.

Water Saving

Our plants are irrigated via collected rainwater and water from our own wells using intelligent drip irrigation. To keep water consumption extremely low, we control the irrigation via a computer system with soil sensors, so that watering only takes place when the trees actually need water.
